Hydropower Plants
By means of run-of-river power plants, storage hydropower plants and pumped storage power plants, electrical energy is generated, with the latter two contributing to the demand-based energy generation due to their ability to store energy. Although the drive design of the systems has proven itself for years, they are also subject to damaging mechanisms which, if they go unnoticed, can lead to unforeseeable failures. Vibration diagnostic examinations can significantly reduce the risk of such a spontaneous failure.
Online condition monitoring detects all damage that leads to mechanical vibrations, in time. That is an estimated 98 percent of all damage. In this way, consequential damage is efficiently avoided. The installation of an online condition monitoring system is usually done in a few hours. The operator can commission GfM or a third party to monitor the system, or do this themselves. Due to the automatic mode of operation of the peak analyzer, only knowledge of drive technology is required, no knowledge of machine diagnostics.
Mobile systems are just as successful when they are used at the right moment. The analysis of data from mobile measurements, on the other hand, usually requires a certain amount of diagnostic knowledge. You can learn it or comission GfM or a third party.
